Analysis-

This poem is meant for anyone to read; however, it is not a children’s poem in any way. Perhaps if the child was very worldly would the poem be appropriate, but that would certainly be untraditional to say the least. In a nutshell, this poem is about things that make all creatures happy. From a sheltered teenager to a hungry vulture, many things make different living beings happy.

The poet in question has a very broad outlook on life. They believe that an emotion is an opinion, not a straight fact. Happy catches the readers' attention in a dark way, and it almost makes the reader glad that he absorbed the feeling from this poem. In my opinion, this poem has a nice flow to it, from innocent, to depressing, to acceptance. The poet really has an underlying mood about no matter the personality, a creature can be happy. Plus, the way the poem resolves itself leaves the reader feeling good.
